Heavy rains across North Texas over the past week provided lawns and landscapes relief from normally hot and dry summer conditions. Officially, 4.42 inches of rain was recorded at DFW Airport in August, however some areas may have received a little more or slightly less. Not only does the rainfall benefit our lawns and landscapes, but North Texans can better manage their water use by turning their irrigation systems off, until supplemental watering of lawns and landscaping is needed.
