Bois d'Arc Lake Project Business Opportunities

There are five major project components that make up the Bois d’Arc Lake Program. NTMWD has hired a Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) contractor to lead construction of each of these major components.

Listed below are more details on each of these components and the contact information for each CMAR. We encourage all interested contractors and businesses to engage with each CMAR for upcoming opportunities to help support the project delivery. For items outside the scope of these key components, NTMWD will post general bidding documents on the Construction and Bid Notices page of this website.

  • CMAR 1 - Dam, Reservoir Clearing, Terminal Storage Reservoir - Archer Western

The Bois d’Arc Lake Program’s CMAR 1 is comprised of the dam, reservoir clearing and terminal storage reservoir construction projects. The dam and clearing projects are located northeast of Bonham. The terminal storage reservoir project will be located in Leonard. All projects will be broken up into bid packages that will be competitively procured.

Archer Western is using CivCast to advertise bidding documents. Interested Contractors should go to https://www.civcastusa.com/bids. Once online, individuals will need to search for the project by name “Bois d’Arc Lake” or “Fannin”. Note that multiple packages may be present at any given time as well as packages from other CMARs within the Bois d’Arc Lake Program. Instructions are provided on CivCast for retrieval of the documents available.

  • Environmental Mitigation Projects

In prior years, a CMAR for the Bois d’Arc Lake Program was focused on the larger environmental mitigation construction site located northeast of the reservoir area at Riverby Ranch. CMAR 2 provided valuable pre-construction, early package procurement, and construction services for work at Riverby Ranch. As an understanding of permitting milestones progressed, NTMWD decided instead of continuing with the CMAR method for the mitigation part of the program to pursue turn-key services to deliver the full mitigation requirements.

As part of construction of the Bois d’Arc Lake in Fannin County, NTMWD will implement the aquatic and terrestrial mitigation requirements detailed in the USACE 404 permit, including locations at Riverby Ranch and east of Bonham.

  • CMAR 3 - Leonard Water Treatment Plant, High Service Pump Station, Raw Water Pump Station – Garney

The Bois d’Arc Lake Program’s CMAR 3 is comprised of the Leonard Water Treatment Plant, Bois d’Arc Lake Raw Water Pump Station, and Leonard High Service Pump Station construction projects. The Water Treatment Plant and High Service Pump Station projects are both located in Leonard. The RWPS is collocated with the dam northeast of Bonham.
